Focusing on Life :: Possibilities

This week Sally asked us to think about what in our life inspires us; in a way that when we look at it we think of the endless possibilities.

I have been trying very hard these past 10 weeks of the challenge to look beyond my bead table when thinking about what to photograph. But this week I just could not think past it.

When I sit down at my table,  begin to organize the pieces, then re-organize the pieces, and then move in new pieces, then move in some more. All the while trying new combinations to see what colors bring out the colors in some of the beads, or if mixing in some fiber is what I'm looking for.

The possibilities are endless in my mind. So for this week's Focusing on Life challenge, I broke down. I took a picture of my bead table. I couldn't help it. That is where anything is possible.

  5. I agree...you table is too neat as I can see the table! With all the beauties you crank out, I would have expected to not see the table at all! Seriously - when I see a bead, I will immediately "place" it - a necklace, bracelet, etc. Then when I start creating, it always ends up in a different place than when I first imagined! So yes, the possibilities are endless!

  6. Hi Cynthia,
    I was thinking the same way I want to go away from my craft and my everyday job to take photos for this challenge, but I keep coming back to these two places. This week my bead stash was the perfect place to take a photo of what I hold as endless possibilities. From the looks of your table I can see the possiblities are endless. You and Christine have a wonderful weekend.

  9. Sounds perfect to me! I always think of it as auditioning. I've always got things grouped together in containers and the like but they could be moved and find new partners at a moments notice!

  14. Oh yes, our bead tables afford us many endless possibilities. Mine especially if and when I clean it up and unearth things I had forgotten were even there.

  15. There really are endless opportunities when we have something we love to create. I sew and feel that way about fabric and lace and trims and buttons!

  16. I think that is one of the things that keep us jewelry designers intrigued and inspired is all the possibilities that beads provide for our creativity.

  23. It is so very true - I often sit down with one idea in my head and yet when I start the beads take me somewhere else entirely
