You've seen this necklace now a few times. I made this one with my Nina Design soup.
So here's the thing; several people were sent the exact same components. We all did our own design. And when Nina asked their readers which design people preferred they chose Bay Moon hands down. I admit it is truly gorgeous how they used that aqua silk and pale blue beads.
The vote wasn't even close. Continuum Designs got one vote, and A Jewelry Crush and your's truly got zero. So now I'm going to ask you all a simple question: keep or recycle?
Leave me a comment and let me know. If I keep it, then I will give it away to those of you who leave me a comment who want to win this necklace. But there is a twist. If the majority of you vote to recycle (come on people be honest for the integrity of the poll), then there will be an alternate give away. See the item behind door #2. I'll post a verdict/ winner on Saturday. So until then ... let me know what you think.

Nagyon szuperül néznek ki nagyon ötletes !!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteZero votes? How can that be?!
ReplyDeleteAs you know I love what you made with the pendant and the fuchsia ribbon :)
Please do not enter me in the contest; my box of goodies is overflowing.
ReplyDeleteMy advice is if you are happy with it keep it.
What I learned from a friend who participated in a regular contest which was voted on is that some participants were better at advertising the need to vote than others. The voting rarely picked my favorite, or even my 3rd favorite. I will also say, having seen my friends design in person, pictures never capture what a piece really looks like.
Bottom line: ignore the vote and make up your own mind.
I second KJ's comments!!
ReplyDeleteIf you want to rework the piece because you have something else in mind to make, that's one way to go.
If you are satisfied with it, there are probably a gagillion people who like it, too- they just haven't seen it. What's that song, "I just haven't met you yet?" Michael Buble, sweetie pie crooner, now that song is going to replay for an hour in my head. lol
Your necklace is so pretty!!! Color comes into play with the voting so those who did vote are not "pink" people! It is definately a keeper.
ReplyDeleteHow many people voted?? Three!?!?!
ReplyDeleteYou did a beautiful necklace that is worth keeping.
I really like the way you incorporated the beads with the focal. Ignore the voting...if you like it keep it!
ReplyDeletethese are all very lovely!
ReplyDeletegreat items!
The necklace is pretty, I can't believe you got no votes. While I love the design and realllly love the colors, a small thing I would do is to either remove the beads from the pendant, or "tighten" them.
ReplyDeleteAs for the giveaway, hehe, you know what I think of the earrings ;)
Count me in! Thanks for the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteHi Cynthia,
ReplyDeleteYour necklace is beautiful. I would not give it a second thought about not getting any votes, if you like it, that is what really matters. Looking at the comments there are a lot of us that like the necklace too.

Voting - when did that happen, if I was aware of it I certainly would have put one in! Beautiful design, but I ditto the other comments, only recycle if you are truly unhappy with it.
ReplyDeleteI thought so the first time I saw it and I think so now, the 7th-ish time I am seeing it...it has such a soft feminine Beauty to it. I would keep it. I love how you embellished the empty spaces. You put a lot of thought and time into it. I don't if it is how you envisioned it, but I think is it too pretty to do away with!
ReplyDeletethe necklace is lovely. I don't understand the voting., How is it possible that you received no votes? Thank you for sharing at the Thursday Favorite Things hop xo P.S. did you enter my latest giveaway?
ReplyDeleteHey, I actually liked yours the best! I think people just weren't aware of the voting thing. It's up to you of course if you want to give it to me ;p
ReplyDeleteI don't understand the zero votes at all because your necklace is lovely! I like the extra pink on the design and the bright pink color too. If you choose to have a giveaway, I'd like to be included!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't put that much into votes like this, they can be decieving. I *love* your necklace, I had admired every time I see it. I like yours the best - it fills the space so nicely with the crystals - lovely!
ReplyDeleteKeep it - you dsigned in the moment - how you felt as you made the piece is the piece. I love it and would never worry about votes. Art is subjective - I've learned long ago if popularity or promotion
ReplyDeleteare what determines the status of a piece - it will always be slighted. The piece speaks for itself - keep it!
I like both designs, because are different!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend, dear! and my G+...
Besos, desde España, Marcela♥
I vote keep! So very pretty!

Definitely keep! Yours would have definitely gotten my vote! I'm a pink girl :)
ReplyDeleteOh keep, keep, keep! It is gorgeous! I wouldn't put too much credit into the voting system that was in place. I think your necklace is beautiful.
